Welcome
From issue 8.1 (2004), Reviews in Clinical and Experimental Hematolgy is available only as an on line version. The reasons of this reshaping are manifold. Within these, the success of the journal over the years and the desire, based on the overall positive comments received, of increasing further its circulation and visibility, as well as the necessity of containing costs of a publication for which particular attention has always been given to style and quality, e.g. all pictures in color, uniformity of tables, highlights, etc. The on line access, available upon subscription and registration, will offer a comprehensive instrument to access state-of-the-art and updated review articles (3 to 5) on a given topic and also to consult the complete archive of Reviews in Clinical and Experimental Hematolgy which includes all past issues easily viewed and accessed in PDF and HTML formats. The on line version of the journal is created, edited and managed entirely via web pages hosted on a dedicated web server, thanks to an original, brand new content management system specifically designed and written by engineers at Accademia Nazionale di Medicina for eBook development.

Furthermore, this new structure of Reviews in Clinical and Experimental Hematolgy will allow our jornal to be included in the CME program for e-learning projects that the Italian Health Minister is going to launch in the next few months. In addition to reading comprehensive scientific reviews, the users will have the opportunity to solve multiple choice questions related to the topic of each individual article with the aim of obtaining valuable CME credits. This way, the on line reviews are no longer "just" further reviews, but rather a complete tool for e-learning in medicine.
